I'm totally geeking out right now! We got the opportunity to photograph the ConCarolinas event this past weekend. The guest of honor was George R. R. Martin. (What?!?!?!?!) We were expecting to have limited access to Mr. Martin. I mean, he's going to have an entourage of big, burly guys around him, right? Nope! He travels with one assistant. Her name is Raya, and she is super nice!

We were allowed to photograph both of his book signing events, as well as all of the panels he participated in. I tried to be very professional, but I was freaking out on the inside! As it turns out, GRRM is just a normal guy. He attended all of the after parties and even hung out in the bar. I feel so honored to have had this experience.

Here's some silly photos we took. You can see all of the images from the weekend HERE.
